What's in my Wardrobe Wednesday!

Style Sneak-Peak

I recently had a massive clear out of my wardrobe and rearranged it so now I can actually find certain items of clothing! Scroll down for my Five Top Tips for creating an organised wardrobe.

When organising your wardrobe it is good to have some kind of order to everything. For my tops I put them in order of black to white for each section and did no sleeves, short sleeves and then long sleeved tops and finally blazers. Same for my dresses.

I then put my skirts, going out tops and belts in a separate section.

When going through your wardrobe you may be surprised with what you find. I seem to have quite a few bras - 17 to be exact! So to avoid my habit of assuming I don't have enough bras; I organised them into colour order and put them on a shelf where they are visible instead of stuffed away in a drawer.

Finally I organised my winter shoes - sadly the glitzy flip flops and sandals have gone into storage. I am, however, looking forward to keeping my feet snuggly!

Five Top Tips for Creating an Organised Wardrobe

1. Take ALL your clothes out first and put them on your bed and organise into piles - tops, dresses, skirts etc - this is great for being able to see what you're working with!
2. Take a moment to actually think if you are going to wear that item of clothing again or is it just going to sit hidden at the back of your wardrobe for another year? There are plenty of charities that need spare clothing for a good cause.
3. Buy more hangers - if you have the space to hang items then hang them! This way you can find everything as it is right in front of you and not at the bottom of the pile!
4. If you don't have enough space for everything then decide if your favourite summery top needs to be displayed - choose seasonal clothing and make these items the most accessible.
5. Think about the layout - don't put a huge pile of folded jeans on the top shelf - these will probably just topple over on you!

Shopping for Shoes

Accessorize

So I know you are probably thinking why would you go to Accessorize for shoes?! The answer is because it offers a shoe that won't give up on you after two weeks but also isn't too pricey. It also offers half sizes which comes in handy for me! Both pairs of shoes were £32 and are perfectly sturdy for handling the autumnal weather!

My favourite shops for shoes would have to be:
Office - for the more expensive shoe that will last like boots for winter
H&M - These shoes wear out quickly but great if you are strapped for cash
Dorothy Perkins - I normally get my heels from here - not too expensive and they usually have a good variety

I also bought a pashmina considering it has got a bit more chilly. It is incredibly soft and shimmers - perfect for evening or day wear -  £19.00

My Vote: Take my advice and look at the shoes when you are next in Accessorize!

Livi Loves Lush

Ok - so I may have become a little obsessed with Lush products! I got speaking to the shop assistant and he helped pick some out. I can't wait to try them! I got:

Bubble Bar:
A French Kiss - £4.25
Bath Bombs:
Sakura - £3.25
Granny Takes a Dip - £3.25
Dragon's Egg - £3.25
And one for my fiancé as he loves Avocado - Avobath - £3.25

I tried out the "Sex Bomb" bath bomb last night - if you LOVE pink then you will adore this product. It did, however, fizz out quite quickly and I have to say I was quite disappointed until I discovered the cutest little flower floating about.
My Vote: If you like flowers and pink then buy it!

Top Tuesday Favourites

Products:
NARS Bronzer - Shade - Laguna  £27
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Shade - 003 Peach Glow - £3.99
Benefit
"They're Real!" Mascara - £19.50

L'Oreal Chrome Shine - Shade - 175 Silver Brown - Sadly I don't think they sell this anymore but L'Oreal has similar products such as the Colour Appeal eye shadows
L'Oreal the concealer True Match - Shade - 2 Vanilla - £6.99
Sally Hansen French Nails - Shades - Nearly Nude and French White Tip - £5.30

NARS Bronzer- one of my favourite products of all time! I had seen a review online about it and couldn't wait to get my hands on it - my only mistake was taking it abroad as all the powder crumbled on the flight! It is such a perfect bronzer - no orange in sight; it just makes you look perfectly sun-kissed.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Perfect for that all over finished look. It helps your makeup not look too sticky.

Benefit "They're Real!" Mascara - Although at the more expensive end of mascaras - this is a must-have! The bristle shape ensures all lashes are separated allowing easy application. The mascara also elongates your lashes to make them unbelievably long - hence the name!

L'Oreal Chrome Shine - I love this eye shadow - it has a glittery finish to it that makes it a necessity for a night out! (It may now be out of stock so please look at the L'Oreal Colour Appeal for something similar).

L'Oreal the concealer True Match - This product is essential for covering up imperfections. I always seem to have two of these on the go at once! The concealer is not too thick and not too silky. I would rate it up there with Esteé Lauder Disappear Smoothing Creme Concealer.

Sally Hansen French Nails - Now I have seen a lot of reviews about this product and I personally think it's gorgeous. If you don't know how to do a french manicure then this product is not for you as it is not forgiving and a nightmare to get the french white tip off your skin! HOWEVER for someone that knows how to apply a french manicure and doesn't want to go to the salon and spend lots of money then this is the perfect product for you. The "Nearly Nude" coat gives a glossy finish without being too pearly.

If anyone knows of a similar product to the L'Oreal Chrome Shine eye shadow then please comment below.

Beauty Haul

Yesterday I had a great time picking out some must-haves and discovering some new products!

Make Up

Sleek - the brand that is overlooked but a hidden gem. As you may know MAC makeup is gorgeous but comes at a price. Sleek, however, is like the Aldi of make up - perfect price, lots of variety but no one seems to give it a chance because it is cheaper! I managed to get my hands on an eye palette, blusher palette and contour palette all for under £30!!

Sleek Eye Palette in "Au Naturel" - £7.99
Sleek Contour Palette in "Medium" - £9.99
Sleek Blusher Palette - £9.99

Sleek Eye Palette in Neutral

I was super excited to buy this palette as most I had come across were very pricey. Sleek have 14 eye shadow palettes to choose from. Luckily for me I tend to stick for more neutral colours so my choice was easy. The great thing about this palette is it is perfect for creating that evening smokey eye but you can also use the light neutrals for everyday use. They have very suitably seasonal names too like Conker and Cappuccino. I am also one of those people who constantly loses eye shadow brushes (they are like hair grips!!!) so the long application brush is very handy. The product takes very well to my skin - not too light but not too heavy with the darker colours. Taupé is my favourite colour as it is right in the middle and has a hint of glitter which is perfect for Autumn and Winter. I apply Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder before using eye shadow as it needs a dry surface to blend more effectively but not too much else it won't stick! My favourite factor about this product has to be that the shadows aren't grainy - they are smooth and this makes it super easy to apply.
My Vote: Buy it!

Sleek Contour Palette

I have to say I have become obsessed with contouring! I was so surprised with how effective it is and how it can really downplay your imperfections like my round face!! Kim K does a particularly good job of contouring (maybe because she has incredibly talented make up artists on tap) but I thought it is time to try and find my cheek bones!
The very sleek box (see what I did there?!) contains three segments - Pressed Powder, Highlighter and Blush- the three main ingredients to creating a perfect contoured face.
The Pressed Powder is particularly dark but don't be scared - once blended you can't tell! When applying it doesn't stick to the skin too much so it becomes easy to blend and the colour is perfect for a pale(ish) skin tone. The highlighter gives a perfect shimmer but isn't overwhelming - I find some highlighters are like applying lip-gloss to your face and some are like eye shadows. The Blush is surprisingly my favourite part of this product purely because it is like my NARS Bronzer which I used to use to try and contour. This contouring kit definitely gets my vote!
My Vote: Buy it!

Sleek Blusher Palette

I don't tend to use bright pinks and oranges for my blusher. With Autumn coming, however, I thought it is time to see what it actually looks like on! This particular palette is called "CALIFORN. I. A" and the three tones are "NEWPORT PEACH, THE SURF AND OC". Funnily enough, the "OC" is my favourite - maybe because it is my initials or most probably because it looks great on! It doesn't show a flushed look but makes you look sun-kissed like on a cold winters day. Even though it feels like lip balm it is incredibly soft on the skin and easy to manipulate by blending. I personally think it is perfect for wearing to a meal out but I would be more inclined to use the blush in the contouring kit as I like a bit of an added shimmer.
My Vote: Unsure!

Collection - Lasting Gel Colour Nail Polish

I also threw in this Collection nail polish in "Stormy Grey" for good measure! The brush does what it says on the tin and is particularly useful for me as I have quite square shaped nails. The colour is very autumnal and for £2.50 you can't really go wrong.
My Vote: Buy it!

Lush

I have to admit this is the first time I have ever bought anything from Lush! I cannot believe how much I was missing out on. I love baths and the traditional bubble bath was getting kind of boring and also I found my skin becoming irritated. Thanks to Lush I had the best bath ever yesterday evening. The scents of these babies are incredible!! There is so much choice that I might even go back today and buy some more!

Bath Bombs
Sex Bomb - £3.25
Twilight - £3.25
Tisty Tosty - £3.25

Bath Melts
You've Been Mangoed - £3.25

Twilight

The bath water turned from bright pink to lilac to dark purple and then the bath filled with glitter! It really was like an evening sunset. Don't worry the glitter is very fine and just gives your body a shimmer- nothing too OTT. The water was silky to touch and I found the salts refreshing on my sensitive skin.
My Vote: Buy it! It's a steal at £3.25
